Medical Pedicure
Medi-Pedi
South Texas's clinical-grade pedicure — performed by a podiatrist, in a private treatment room, with fully sterilised instruments.
Our Signature Medi-Pedi
The Home of the Medical Pedicure in the Rio Grande Valley
Our signature Medi-Pedi is unlike any pedicure you've had before. Dr. Galvan and his experienced clinical team provide a thorough skin and nail treatment in a relaxing, private room — a total judgment-free zone. Please don't be concerned about the condition of your feet. We're here to help, and you'll walk out feeling fresh and confident.
Nail and skin concerns are common and nothing to be ashamed of. Your private Medi-Pedi experience can assess and address a wide range of conditions, including fungal infections, cracked heels, ingrown toenails, traumatised or damaged toenails, and athlete's foot (Tinea Pedis).
Unlike most nail salons, our equipment is 100% medically sterilised for a safe, clean environment. The treatment is suitable for both men and women across McAllen, Edinburg, Mission, and the wider Rio Grande Valley.

FAQ
Common Questions About Medical Pedicures
What is a Medi-Pedi?+
A Medical Pedicure (Medi-Pedi) is a deep, restorative foot and nail treatment performed by a licensed podiatrist in a sterile clinical setting. Unlike a salon pedicure, it focuses on the health of your feet — diagnosing issues, treating problem nails and skin, and finishing with rich nourishing oils and moisturisers.
How is this different from a regular pedicure?+
Nail salons cannot legally diagnose or treat medical conditions, and most cannot fully sterilise their tools between clients. At RGV Foot & Ankle Institute, every instrument is autoclave-sterilised, your provider is a medical professional, and we can safely care for thickened nails, ingrown nails, fungal infections, diabetic feet, and more.
Is a Medical Pedicure suitable for men?+
Absolutely. Roughly half of our Medi-Pedi patients are men. The service is purely focused on foot health and comfort — no polish required.
Is it safe if I have diabetes?+
Yes — in fact, it's one of the safest pedicure options available for diabetic patients. We use diabetic-safe techniques and check circulation, sensation, and skin integrity at every visit.
How often should I have one?+
Most patients schedule a Medi-Pedi every 6 to 10 weeks. We'll recommend a cadence based on the condition of your nails and skin and your lifestyle.
Does insurance cover it?+
Some elements of the visit (such as treating a medical condition) may be covered by insurance. Our front desk will verify your benefits and walk you through any costs before treatment.
